Hello and welcome to Grammar Compass! I am Sir Victor Owusu — an English tutor, educator, and the proud founder of this platform. Currently pursuing my MPhil in English at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), I bring both academic rigour and practical classroom experience to every lesson I create.
As a dedicated English Language teacher, I have worked with a wide range of learners — from secondary school students preparing for national examinations, to university undergraduates strengthening their academic writing, to working professionals who want to communicate with greater confidence and precision.
I founded Grammar Compass with a single, clear purpose: to create a trusted, freely accessible hub where English language learners everywhere can find structured, high-quality guidance. Through this platform, I publish video lessons on YouTube, carefully designed PDF study notes, and comprehensive courses covering grammar, academic writing, communication skills, and reading comprehension.

The Story Behind the Platform
Why Grammar Compass Was Created
As an English teacher working directly with students across Ghana, Sir Victor noticed a persistent and frustrating problem: learners had genuine motivation and potential, but lacked access to clear, structured, and affordable English education resources tailored to their needs.
Textbooks were expensive. Online content was fragmented and inconsistent. Quality private tutoring remained out of reach for many students — particularly those from underserved communities who needed it most.
Grammar Compass was Sir Victor's response to that gap. By combining his academic training at KNUST with years of hands-on teaching experience, he built a platform where every lesson is purposeful, every explanation is clear, and every resource is free — because every student deserves the chance to achieve excellence.
Today, Grammar Compass serves students from secondary school through university, as well as professionals looking to sharpen their English in the workplace.
